Meet the Team

Dr. Olivia Do

Dr. Olivia Do

Optometrist

Hello! My name is Dr. Olivia Do and I am originally from Toronto, Canada. I remained in Canada for much of my younger years until I finished my undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec in 2003. I then decided to make the big move to the US and received my Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry in 2008. To continue my training, I did my residency at The University of Missouri School of Optometry in St. Louis. Here, I was able to train in anterior segment and disease diagnosis and treatment, in addition to the fitting of specialized contact lenses for special eye conditions including dry eyes, keratoconus and orthokeratology.

I wanted to share my passion for learning with others after all these years of schooling, so I taught as an Assistant Professor at The Southern California College of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University in Fullerton after my move to California. Today, I continue to stay up to date on the latest advances in eye health and vision care by regularly attending educational seminars and taking advanced training courses. This is also why I dedicate my time to being a Fellow of The American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of The American Board of Optometry.

After seeing the beautiful coastal scenery, and visiting with the warm, friendly residents of La Jolla, my husband and I decided that this was truly a perfect place to settle down and raise our family. We wouldn’t want to be anywhere else and we are overjoyed to have such amazing neighbors everywhere we look!

Optician/Optometric Tech

Hello, I’m Wil, the Optician/Optometric Tech here at ODO Eye Care. I have received multiple certifications (CPOA, NCLEC, ABOC) for optical work, and have since spent the last 15 years working in optometry.  Having lived in Maryland for most of my life, I’m still getting used to having a lemon tree in my backyard.

While helping you pick out a new style is one of the most fun things we do at the office, at the end of the day, I believe it’s all about improving your eye health and allowing you to achieve the best vision possible. Each patient is unique and brings different needs and sensibilities, so I like to spend some time getting to know the individuals that come into our office. Thats why I would say my favorite part of the day is watching a patient put their prescription glasses on for the first time (especially the kids when they see all that they were missing!).

During my time outside of the office, I enjoy reading widely, admiring 20th Century art, and exploring new cities.

Bianca

Patient Coordinator

Hello, I’m Bianca, the Patient Coordinator that will help and guide you through your check-in and make sure you understand what your visit will entail. I strive to make each visit a memorable one, from the moment you call in to make the appointment until you walk out with your new pair of glasses. I have been in the optical field for 3 years now and love helping patients to choose their frames.

I attended San Diego State University and achieved a bachelor’s degree in Communication. In my freetime you can find me outdoors and exploring the beautiful city of San Diego. I was born and raised in San Diego but when I’m not here I’m usually in Mexico City.
